Bartók’s String Quartet No. 2 in a marathon performance of the complete Bartók quartet cycle — all six quartets played by six student ensembles on Eastman’s Chamber Music Honours Concerts series at Kilbourn Hall. Brian’s quartet — Olivia De Prato and Frances Hsieh, violins; Brian Lindgren, viola; Lauren Radnofsky, cello — was coached by Phil Ying of the Ying Quartet; the same four players toured Austria and Italy as the Eastman Quartett the following May. Brian also wrote the program notes for Quartet No. 2. The concert was covered by the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.
