The Shinesongs (“unamplified rhythm & soul”) — J.J. Kaufmann’s settings of poetry by Calvin Forbes (from The Shine Poems, LSU Press, 2001), presented by the Brockport Writers Forum of the SUNY Brockport Department of English as part of “An Evening of Poetry and Jazz” with poet Calvin Forbes.

This was the first of a three-performance run; The Shinesongs was also performed at Eastman’s Howard Hanson Hall on September 27–28, 2003.
